In Genesis 14:19 Melchizedek, high priest and King of Jerusalem blessed Abrahm saying that he was blessed by the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth.  Do you know that that same God, still today is the possessor of heaven and earth?  He does not change.  Psalm 34:8 David reports that the individual that trusts in the LORD is blessed.  Do you trust the LORD?  Then you are blessed by the possessor of heaven and earth.  The creator of the universe wants to bless you.Psalm 68:19 we read that daily the LORD loads us with blessings.  What blessings have you received today?  Did you wake up?  Did you get out of bed?  That means you had a bed and you got some sleep and you are still alive.  We really need to be thankful for everything God provides us with.  We are blessed beyond belief!

Father’s Day is this Sunday.  It is a time when we honor and show appreciation to our fathers for their courage, sacrifices, as well as the discipline and wisdom they provided to us to shape us into responsible adults.  It’s also a time to enjoy their company, spending time with them.

To all the men who have been responsible father’s - working everyday to provide a living for their family, being caring and compassionate helping with a sick child, instilling good values to shape a virtuous person, helping their wives around the house treating them with honor, and being fun loving quick to tell a joke or offer an encouraging smile - thanks for all you do to make this world a better place today and tomorrow.  Have a great Father’s Day every day.

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day.  I’m so grateful to have been raised by a righteous God-fearing mother who knew the power of prayer.
